It has indeed been an incredible journey thus far, and this is only the beginning.
WIP Barcelona was an incredible venue, with well curated music, sound, people, and atmosphere. It was a pleasure to strive to create this utopia every weekend, from the polite but firm door to the creative music to the drinks served with a smile. It was an honor to play there for people who came to listen and enjoy. Thanks for the memories, and on to what’s next!
Off -Sónar was a great success, as anyone who went to the Watergate / Beatport / WIP Secret Villa Party or the playON events at Oshum club could attest. Once again, proper music, proper sound, and wonderful people at amazing locations amounts to unforgettable events!

Barcelona and Monegros
It’s been a good few weeks in Barcelona!
Currently enjoying the offerings of the city with shows from Tadeo, Alex Under, Jonas Kopp, Paco Osuna, Fabrizio Maurizi, Michel de Hey, and others! Stopping by Boulevard tonight to take in a set form rising Barcelona star Coyu.
MONEGROS Desert Festival. Twenty two hours of face melting bass and rhythm with 50,000 people in the Spanish desert. I caught the bus, bought the ticket, and took the ride. Here’s the scoop:
It was a treat to be among the first in the world to witness the debut of Luciano’s Aether live set, with the Swiss-Chilean ringleader conducting a crew of Cadenza label mates and a live percussionist in a color-coded techno symphony. Among other highlights was a decidedly powerful and muscular workout from Marco Carola, one of the most energetic sets of the festival. Cocoon figureheads Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, and Ricardo Villalobos were on hand to throw down, with Ricardo leading the charge for the best crowd reaction thanks to diverse selections while Sven and Rich played it safe. Loco Dice administered a dose of hip hop samples over his druggy chunky house beats, and Dubfire blasted a huge crowd with his signature crisp bass and hot white noise as the sun rose over the massive tents in the morning. While Vitalic, Dave Clarke, and Ben Sims punished the main stage with bruising beats, the Circoloco crew kept it grooving and strange well into the next day with enough room to dance (finally)! The final stretch of the mega marathon was set the soundtrack provided by Zip, Tania Vulcano, Andrew Grant, Rhadoo, Raresh, René, and Davide Squillace. Clown wigs, robot visors, craziness, and smiles!
